Most watches today are disposable electronics wearing a wristband — a battery, a screen, a two-year lifespan before the next upgrade cycle.
Calibre builds the other kind: a mechanical movement with no software to abandon and no battery to die, designed to be serviced, inherited, and worn for generations rather than replaced.
The Movement
Every part has a job. Nothing is decorative.
The Calibre CX-1 movement is assembled from 187 components by hand, regulated over 15 days before it ever reaches a case.

The Process
From billet to wrist
Nine weeks, start to finish. Nothing is outsourced.

Machining
Each case starts as a solid steel, titanium, or gold billet, roughed out on a 5-axis CNC mill before any hand-finishing begins.

Movement Assembly
187 components, assembled by hand under magnification by a single watchmaker who signs the rotor when it's done.

Regulation
Each movement runs for 15 days across six positions, adjusted until it holds within -4/+6 seconds a day.
04
Final Inspection
Water resistance, timing accuracy, and finish are checked a second time by someone who didn't build it.

The Workshop
Started with one movement that wouldn't stop
Calibre started as one watchmaker's attempt to build a movement that didn't need to compromise — no supplier shortcuts, no rebranded stock caliber, no "good enough for the price point."
That first CX-1 prototype is still running, fourteen years and one full service later, on the wrist of the person who built it. Every watch that's left the workshop since has been held to the same standard: built to be serviced, not replaced.
Today the workshop is fourteen watchmakers, one movement family, and a waitlist longer than the annual production run.
